HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Authorizing Submittal of Sites to Regional Joint Application for Federal Highway Adminstration Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Discretionary Grant Program RESOLUTION NO. 24-473 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF SITES TO A REGIONAL JOINT APPLICATION FOR FUNDING FROM THE FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION'S CHARGING & FUELING INFRASTRUCTURE DISCRETIONARY GRANT PROGRAM FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA WHEREAS, the Federal Highway Administration's Charging & Fueling Infrastructure Discretionary Grant Program provides funding to local jurisdictions for the construction of eligible projects; and WHEREAS, the Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization will be submitting a joint regional application to the program based on the cumulation of each interested jurisdiction's proposed sites. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa that: 1. The City Council supports and approves the proposed sites for the Federal Highway Administration's Charging & Fueling Infrastructure Discretionary Grant Program to be added to the regional application funding. 2. The City Council hereby commits the City of Ames, Iowa to matching monies as required by the Federal Highway Administration's Charging&Fueling Infrastructure Discretionary Grant Program funding (at least 20%match). 3. The City of Ames, Iowa hereby commits to the standards and reporting required of this funding program and will work with the Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization collect that data. 4. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to approve and execute the application on behalf of the City of Ames. ADOPTED THIS 3rd day of September, 2024. Renee Idall, City Clerk John A.
