RESOLUTION NO. 24-176
RESOLUTION APPROVING PLAT OF SURVEY FOR
79.85 ACRES ON SOUTHWEST CORNER OF 220TH STREET AND X AVENUE
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS, application for a proposed Plat of Survey has been submitted for a boundary line
adjustment per Section 23.309 of the Municipal Code; and,
WHEREAS, the site is located at the southwest corner of 220th Street and X Avenue in Boone
County, and the owner is LVS Farms; and,
WHEREAS, the real estate description is: The East Half of the Northeast Quarter and part of
the West Half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 2, Township 83 North, Range 25 West of the 5th
P.M., Boone County, Iowa except the North 521.8 feet of the West 1215.2 feet of the Northeast
Quarter; and,
WHEREAS, a preliminary decision of approval for the proposed Plat of Survey has been
rendered by the Planning and Housing Department with no conditions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the Plat of Survey for 79.85 acres on southwest corner of 220th Street and X Avenue in Boone
County is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 27th day of August, 2024.
