RESOLUTION APPROVING WAIVER OF FEE FOR
THE BLANKET VENDING LICENSE FOR THE
AMES PRIDEFEST EVENT
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS, Ames Pride, a non-profit organization dedicated to building community for
LGBTQIA+people in the City of Ames,is proposing to host its fourth annual Ames Pridefest from
10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on September 14, 2024; and,
WHEREAS, the Pride festival event is an all-ages and family-friendly event featuring
various vendors, entertainment, and food trucks, and an estimated 2,000 people are anticipated to
attend; and,
WHEREAS, organizers are requesting a blanket Vending License and waiver of the fee for
the License ($50.00); and,
WHEREAS, Ames Main Street has submitted a letter in support of the event.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the waiver of the blanket Vending License fee for the Ames Pridefest event on September 14,
2024, is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 28th day of May, 2024.
