RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE AWARD OF CONTRACT
FOR ELECTRICAL SERVICES FUEL SUPPLY CONTRACT
FOR THE ELECTRIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT, CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, bids and proposals were received on the 26th day of April, 2024, for the
Electrical Services Fuel Supply Contract for the Electric Services Department,City of Ames,Iowa.
Said bids have now been carefully analyzed.
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as
follows:
Section 1: Award of contract is made as follows:
Sunoco, LLC, of Dallas, Texas, for supplying diesel fuel to the City's combustion
turbine units for FY 2024/25, in the amount of$0.0222 increase on the Magellan
"rack" fuel price, and in the amount of$0.0222 increase on the Buckeye "rack" fuel
price with a total amount not-to-exceed $300,000, with the provision that would
allow the City to renew the contract for up to four additional one-year terms at an
annual increase in cost of 5%per year.
Section 2: The City Manager and City Clerk are authorized to execute said contract for
and on behalf of the City of Ames, Iowa, and to affix the corporate seal of the City thereto.
Section 3: All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
