Home My WebLink About~Master - Contract Renewal and Bond for Boiler Tube Spray Coating and Related Services and Supplies Contract for Power Plant RESOLUTION NO. 24-244 RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT RENEWAL AND BOND FOR BOILER TUBE SPRAY COATING AND RELATED SERVICES AND SUPPLIES CONTRACT FOR THE POWER PLANT FOR THE CITY OF AMES WHEREAS, on July 26, 2022, the City Council awarded a contract to Integrated Global Services, Inc., Richmond, Virgina, for the Boiler Tube Spray Coating and Related Services and Supply Contract for the Power Plant. These services were to be furnished as requested from the award date through June 30, 2023. This contract included the option for the City to renew in one- year increments for up to four additional years. This is the second renewal out of four possible renewal periods,which includes an approximate increase on 5%for labor rates and 8%for material rates. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that the contract renewal with Integrated Global Services, Inc., of Richmond,Virginia, as follows: Section 1. The Contract between the City of Ames, Iowa, and Integrated Global Services, Inc., of Richmond, Virginia, in the amount of$535,000 dated the 1st day of July, 2024, for the Boiler Tube Spray Coating and Related Services and Supply Contract for the Power Plant as provided for in the detailed plans and specifications referred to in the preamble hereof, and the performance bond of the said contractor with Great Midwest Insurance Company, of Houston, Texas, as surety thereon, in the amount of $535,000 filed in connection therewith, be and the same are hereby approved. Section 2. All resolutions or order or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
