RESOLUTION ACCEPTING COMPLETION OF
COMBUSTION TURBINE FUEL OIL PIPE INSTALLATION PROJECT
FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA
WHEREAS, the Electric Services Department has filed a certificate of completion for the
Combustion Turbine Fuel Oil Pipe Installation project for the City of Ames, Iowa, in accordance
with a contract dated the 141h day of February, 2023, by and between the City of Ames, Iowa, and
Modern Companies Inc., Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Ames, Iowa, as follows:
Section 1. The total contract for the Combustion Turbine Fuel Oil Pipe Installation
project has been fully completed by the Contractor in accordance with the terms of the
contract and is hereby accepted and approved.
Section 2. The total cost of the contract is $472,756.43.
Section 3. The amount due Modern Companies Inc., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is hereby
ordered paid as provided by law.
Section 4. All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
