RESOLUTION NO. 24-052
RESOLUTION SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A PROPOSAL TO
SELL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2310 EAST 13TH STREET
FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Ames, d/b/a Mary Greely Medical Center, a City hospital, is the
owner of the public property located at 2310 East 131h Street, Ames, Iowa more particularly
described as Lot Three (3), Mary Greeley Subdivision, Ames, Story County, Iowa; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Iowa Code section 364.12 the City Council has the authority
following notice and hearing to vacate and sell public property.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Ames, Iowa that it
is hereby proposed that the City of Ames,d/b/a Mary Greely Medical Center, a City hospital, enter
into a sale with Hunziker & Associates for the property located at 2310 East 131h Street, Ames,
Iowa.
A public hearing on the proposed sale as aforesaid shall be held as required by law to
coincide with the Regular Meeting of the City Council on February 27, 2024,which shall begin at
6:00 p.m. in the Ames City Hall Council Chambers, 515 Clark, Ames, Iowa.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed to provide notice pursuant
to Iowa Code section 362.3.
ADOPTED THIS 13th day of February, 2024.
