HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Revisions to ASSET Policies and Procedures RESOLUTION NO. 23-326 RESOLUTION APPROVING REVISIONS TO ASSET POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA WHEREAS, each year the Analysis of Social Services Evaluation Team (ASSET) Administrative Team and volunteers review the ASSET Policies and Procedures; and, WHEREAS, this year, there are four significant changes: 1. Adding the Community Impact Director as a non-voting member of the ASSET Administrative Team. The Community Impact Director is an employee of United Way of Story County and oversees the Clear Impact Scorecard database. This database is the outcomes reporting system used by the ASSET agencies and partially funded by the City of Ames. 2. Increasing the number of terms that a volunteer can serve from 2 three-year terms to 3 three-year terms. 3. Modifying the definition of an unexcused absence and the process to appoint a volunteer whose term is unexpired. 4. Adding a new process for"returning services."This is to address situations where a service had previously been funded by one or more ASSET Funders, but the agency stopped requesting funding for a defined period of time. They then return with the service and want to request funding through ASSET, again. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that the aforementioned revisions to the ASSET Policies and Procedures are hereby approved.
