RESOLUTION ACCEPTING COMPLETION OF
THE POWER PLANT UNIT #7 BOILER REPAIR PROJECT
FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA
WHEREAS, the Electric Services Department has filed a certificate of completion for the
Power Plant Unit #7 Boiler Repair Project for the City of Ames, Iowa, in accordance with a
contract dated the 261h day of March, 2019, by and between the City of Ames, Iowa, and Helfrich
Brothers Boiler Works, Inc., of Lawrence, Massachusetts.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Ames, Iowa, as follows:
Section 1. The total contract for the Power Plant Unit #7 Boiler Repair Project has
been fully completed by the Contractor in accordance with the terms of the contract
and is hereby accepted and approved.
Section 2. The total cost of the contract is $7,981,081.63 (inclusive of sales tax).
Section 3. The amount due Helfrich Brothers Boiler Works, Inc., of Lawrence,
Massachusetts, is hereby ordered paid as provided by law.
Section 4. All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
