RESOLUTION NUMBER 23-077
APPROVING PLAT OF SURVEY FOR 4100 DAWES DRIVE
AND ACCEPTANCE OF RIGHT-OF-WAY DEDICATION
FOR THE CITY OF AMES, STORY COUNTY, IOWA
WHEREAS, application for a proposed PIat of Survey of real property has been submitted
for a boundary line adjustment pursuant to Section 23.209 of the Ames Municipal Code and for the
proposed acceptance of a right-of-way dedication by Warranty Deed;
WHEREAS, the real property is located at 4100 Dawes Drive in the City of Ames, Story
County,Iowa, and the current titleholders are Larissa Leigh Boeck and Katherine Elaine Farlow, a
married couple;
WHEREAS, the real property is legally described as:
Part of Lot Six (6) in the Northeast Quarter(NE 1/4) of the Northeast Quarter(NE
1/4)of Section Twenty-seven(27),Township Eighty-four(84)North,Range Twenty-
four (24) West of the 5th P.M., Ames, Story County, Iowa, more particularly
described as: Commencing at the intersection of the South line of Lot 6 and the
centerline of Dawes Drive(old U.S. 69), thence Northwesterly 307.8 feet along the
centerline of said Dawes Drive to point of beginning; thence N 69°12'E 213.3 feet;
thence N 59°50'W 252.9 feet to the North line of said Lot 6, thence West 42.9 feet
along the North line of said Lot 6 to the centerline of Dawes Drive, thence
Southeasterly 212.7 feet along the centerline of said Dawes Drive to point of
beginning and containing 0.58 acres,more or less,including existing establish right-
of-way;
WHEREAS,the right-of-way dedication along Dawes Drive is identified as Tract"C"on the
Plat of Survey and the conveyance of the right-of-way is by Warranty Deed; and
WHEREAS, a preliminary decision of approval for the proposed Plat of Survey has been
rendered by the Planning and Housing Department with no conditions.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa,
that the Plat of Survey for 4100 Dawes Drive and acceptance of right-of-way by Warranty Deed is
hereby approved.
