Thank you for submitting the application for a Variance to allow for additional lineal feet of
overhead garage door width beyond the current maximum of 27 feet for the property located at
1602 Ada Hayden Rd in Ames. The City of Ames Planning and Housing Department is pleased
to assist where we can on this project.
We find that the application and materials you submitted on July 28, 2017 are substantially
complete to begin processing.
I will be the staff planner for this case. I will review it for any needed clarification or additional
materials and contact you if there is such a need. We will work to place this on the agenda of the
Zoning Board of Adjustment for a public hearing as soon as possible.
