Subject: Appeal for 2304 Knapp Street
Good evening Karen,
Thank you for taking the time to talk to me on Tuesday, June 14 about the Zoning Board Meeting
slated for June 22, 2016. I will not be able to attend this meeting as I am out of town for work.
I would like the Zoning Board of Adjustment to uphold its decision concerning the property at
2304 Knapp on the grounds of inadequate parking for the reconfigured/expanded units. There is
already too much on street parking that overflows from the numerous rental houses on Knapp,
Lynn, and Baker Streets. You know as well as I these rental houses are frequently over occupied
and the tenants are not able to park all their cars off street.
I have done my own looking at the property and the property directly to the west (2312). Both of
these property use a joint driveway to access their parking area. I say the area because
neither properties have garages and using the bulk of their yard as parking
especially the property at 2304 Knapp. This area does not appear to be large
enough for seven (7) spaces that the proposed reconfiguration for the 2304 and for the
rental house next door. That house is listed as a three (3) bedroom rental and need to have three

(3) off street parking. This means that these two rental houses need enough space for 10 cars in
the space between them. I just do not see how that many cars will fit.
Please do not add the already frustrating parking in my neighborhood by overturning the decision.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
