RESOLUTION ACCEPTING COMPLETION OF
UNIT 8 PRECIPITATOR ROOF REPLACEMENT
FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS, the Electric Services Department has filed a certificate of completion for the
Unit 8 Precipitator Roof Replacement for the City of Ames, Iowa, in accordance with a contract
dated September 8, 2020, by and between the City of Ames, Iowa, and Henkel Construction
Company of Mason City, Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Ames, Iowa, as follows:
Section 1. The total contract for the Unit 8 Precipitator Roof Replacement Project has
been fully completed by the Contractor in accordance with the terms of the contract and
is hereby accepted and approved.
Section 2. The total cost of the contract is $474,787 (inclusive of sales tax).
Section 3. The amount due Henkel Construction Company of Mason City, Iowa, is
hereby ordered paid as provided by law.
Section 4. All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
