HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Approving Zoning Agreement for 2105 Dayton Avenue RESOLUTION NO. 22-334 RESOLUTION APPROVING ZONING AGREEMENT FOR 2105 DAYTON AVENUE FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA WHEREAS, on May 10, 2022, the City Council approved on first reading the rezoning of the 61.44-acre parcel at 2105 Dayton Avenue to General Industrial with a Master Plan; and, WHEREAS, the Master Plan designates 11.57 acres in the northwest corner of the site as open space and that area will not be developed;however the remainder of the site will be developed with industrial uses; and, WHEREAS, the developer intends to subdivide the site into 13 lots; and, WHEREAS,the site is part of a proposal for an industrial subdivision with a Development Agreement with the City that would utilize tax increment financing (TIF) for installation of infrastructure; and, WHEREAS, the Development Agreement related to the TIF will occur at a later time with Subdivision approval; and, WHEREAS, the City requires that, in order to complete a rezoning with a Master Plan, a Zoning Agreement must be signed by the property owner prior to the third reading of the Rezoning Ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that the Zoning Agreement for 2105 Dayton Avenue is hereby approved. ADOPTED THIS 14`h day of June, 2022. Diane R.
