Dear Randy:
Thank you for submitting the Special Use Permit application for the proposed garage at
2622 Lincoln Way. The City of Ames Planning and Housing Department is eager to help
you on this project. We find that the application and materials you submitted on
September 14, 20 t 5 are complete for review in accordance with the Ames Municipal
Code.
This item will be assigned to a staff planner, routed to the Development Review
Committee (DRC) to discuss at the DRC staff meeting on Wednesday, September 23,
2015. Preliminary comments will be sent to you that day via email. If necessary, a
following meeting will be scheduled with you (or your representative) to discuss further
any steps or revisions that may be necessary in order for the project to comply with the
Ames Municipal Code and other applicable requirements. This meeting is typically the
Friday following the Wednesday DRC staff discussion, and is tentatively set for Friday,
September 25, 2015. At that meeting we will also discuss the potential date for a hearing
before the Zoning board of Adjustment. You will be notified on the Wednesday prior, if
you are invited to a Friday meeting.
