Subject: message for Zoning Board of Adjustment members'consideration at tonight's meeting
I hope that in view of last night's City Council decision--to defer the property subdivision request pending
further information regarding obtaining independent engineering analysis--the Zoning Board of Adjustment
will postpone voting on the Riverside Manor owner's request (to use retaining walls as an alternative flood
protection measure for the apartments he wants to build in that area). We are still very concerned about
the flooding potential in this area of town, and I have felt all along that independent analysis by a
hydrologist/engineer should be sought and obtained before any decisions are reached by City bodies, and
I hope that can happen.
