Thanks you for the minutes.They were exactly what ATT was looking for. We respectfully withdraw this
application. Being part of telecom, it is very likely we will be back in 6 months. I thank you and all of
Ames for your cooperation and hard work.
And I enjoyed visiting Ames for the short time I was there.

Gail,
I have attached the minutes from the August meeting for your review. I believe the 30 day discussion was
just when the next ZBA meeting could have been for reconsideration of the SUP, however, it was unclear
when a new application could be submitted by you, so the Board left the continuation open ended for
refiling of revised material. While staff is okay with waiting for revised materials to be submitted for the
current case, if you are not going to be submitting anything in the near future, staff would rather have you
withdraw this application until such time as you are ready to file a new one so we don't have open ended
case files pending in the system for an extended period of time. The Board did deny the variance
request, so there is not an active application for the previously proposed variance.

Hello Karen,
You were dealing with Ronak regarding the above ATT proposal and I was the person that attended the Ames
meeting.There were two points made at the meeting that I request in writing for ATT's file. It was discussed that
SUP proposal was positive and variance was denied. It was also discussed that ATT would have the right to revise
drawings that included comments from the committee,which could possibly help with the variance and SUP. I
believe the city gave ATT 30 days from the meeting date to do this. Would you have a copy of the minutes of the
meeting that relate to our application? In regards to the 30 day filing; at this time ATT is going to reevaluate this
site and the cost of continuing the design revisions.We would not be submitting anything in the near future,which
means we would have to refile at a later date?

At this point the materials look complete to schedule the item for the August 27, 2014 ZBA meeting. I am
working with the Clerk's office to get that scheduled and noticed for the agenda. I will be continuing to
work on the report and the staff recommendation until the week before the meeting. As we spoke
previously, even with the proposed revisions to the tower, staff may not be able to support variations for
the project based on zoning code requirements, however, we will present all of the materials and options
for the ZBA so they can make the best decision for the community. We will send a copy of the report
when completed (typically the Friday before the meeting) so that you can be prepared for the discussion at
the meeting. There may be information that is needed prior to the completion of the report, but I will work
with you to get any final information that may be needed.
