RESOLUTION APPROVING USAGE OF ELECTRICITY FOR
ISU HOMECOMING PARADE
FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA
WHEREAS,the Homecoming Central Committee at Iowa State University is again planning
to host its annual Homecoming activities; which, includes hosting the downtown Homecoming
parade as a kick-off to the activities, to be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021
WHEREAS,the Homecoming Parade will take place beginning at 2:00 p.m. on October 17,
and entries will be staged in City Hall Lot M, on Pearle Avenue, and on Main Street west of Clark
Avenue; and,
WHEREAS,organizers plan to have a variety of food trucks on Clark Avenue between Fifth
Street and Main Street, so organizers are requesting the use of City electricity; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the request to utilize the City of Ames electricity, for food trucks, for the ISU Homecoming
Parade on October 17, 2021, is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 22nd day of June, 2021.
