A RESOLUTION ADOPTING NEW AND REVISED FEES FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Ames, Iowa,that the following fees shall be adopted or adjusted to recover the approximate actual costs of city services from those 3 who use and benefit from these services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that fees shall be adopted as follows: SECTION ONE. When the holiday falls on Sunday the following day will be observed. MISCELLANEOUS FEES 1. SIDEWALK CLEARING shall be the actual cost plus a$50.00 administrative fee. 2. CURB OPENINGS. a. A charge of fifty dollars ($50.00) per opening shall be made for all applications for residential curb openings or changes in width or location of any existing residential access drive. b. A charge of fifty dollars ($50.00) shall be made for all applications for commercial or industrial curb cuts, openings or access permits and any application for any type of curb opening or access permit to a primary highway. 3. SIDEWALKS. a. A charge of fifty dollars ($50.00) per single frontage property shall be made for all applications for new sidewalk installation. b. A charge of seventy-five ($75.00) per property having two or more frontages shall be made for all applications for new sidewalk installation. 4. DRIVEWAY CULVERT INSTALLATION. Driveway culverts shall be furnished and installed by and remain the property of the City. The owner of the property to which access is provided by the culvert shall be charged a fee of thirty-five dollars($35.00) per lineal foot of culvert used. 5. PLAN FEES. One set of bidding documents is available without charge to prospective bidders, subcontractor bidders, suppliers, and contractor plan room services. For all others, Plan Fees shall be the actual cost of printing plus a$15.00 administrative fee. i 6. ENGINEERING FEES a.
