RESOLUTION APPROVING UNALLOCATED FUNDS AS "RESERVE FUNDS" TO
ADDRESS ADDITIONAL HUMAN SERVICE AGENCIES' NEEDS
THAT MAY ARISE DURING FY 2021/22
FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA
WHEREAS,during its February 2021/22 budget decisions,the City Council approved a total
of$1,601,093 in ASSET allocations for the next fiscal year; and,
WHEREAS, Contracts were mailed to 26 agencies and all Contracts, but one have been
returned; and,
WHEREAS,the Volunteer Center of Story County declined the FY 2021/22 contracts with
all ASSET funders; and,
WHEREAS, therefore, the $3,285 previously approved by Council could be added to the
current amount of unallocated funds ($17,277) for human service needs that may arise during the
fiscal year; and,
WHEREAS, the additional funds would increase the total amount of"Reserve Funds" to
$20,562; and,
WHEREAS,the purpose of the"Reserve Funds"are to address additional service needs that
may arise during FY 2021/22.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the unallocated funds as "Reserve Funds" in the new amount of$20,562 to address additional
human service agencies' needs that may arise during FY 2021/22 is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 25th day of May, 2021.
