2005. The present application involves a proposed expansion of their building and parking lot
in order to construct seven more classrooms/labs as well as a work room, mechanical room,
storage and restrooms. Nine thousand t'0Ur hundred SCILMI-C feet will be added to the building,
increasing the building's overall size by approximately 25(/,/0. The additional space will be
located on the tipper northeast side of the building. The exterior finish will be a high
performance wall panel system of a dark blue color with a white panel on which will be 1110LInted
the DMACC logo. No changes will be made to the south or west elevations of the building. No
UPSIZ11)(1 ofpubliC utility or Infrastructure improvements will be needed. The adjacent street has
been determined to have sufficient carrying capacity to meet the increased traffic needs. The
parking lot Would be expanded to include 95 parking stalls to accommodate the greater parking
needs created by this additional SCIUarc footage. The proposed change is an expansion of a
previously approved use and the proposed uses of' the new space will be for the same general
purposes as arc Currently Occurring in the space.
DECISION
The Board considers the standards applicable to Special Use Permits Under the provisions of the
zoning ordinance. In this situation, the Board finds that the requested use continues to meet the

general standards established for Special Use Permits, in that it is consistent with the Land Usc
Policy Plan. It will be designed and constructed so as to be harmonious with the existing area's
character, it will not be hazardous or have uses that are detrimental, it is adequately served by
essential public facilities and services and will be consistent with the intent and purpose of the
zone,. The Board determines that this application meets the standards and should be granted.
