We have reviewed the application and materials you submitted on December 18,2012 and have deemed the application to be complete,with one exception. The check submitted with the application for the filing fee was made out to the "Department of Planning and Housing." Please stop by the office to pick up this check, and bring a new check for the filing fee in the amount of$100.00 made out to the "City of Ames." This item will be placed on the January 9, 2013 agenda of the Zoning Board of Adjustment (ZBA). The meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 515 Clark Avenue. Your case will now be assigned to a planner, who will determine if any additional information is needed, and will be in contact with you to discuss your application. The case planner will prepare a report and a departmental recommendation to be included in the ZBA's packet of agenda items for the January 9, 2013 meeting. Notification of your application will be sent to property owners within 200 feet,approximately 12 days prior to the meeting. A sign will be posted on the property and notice published in the newspaper, eight days prior to the meeting. A copy of the ZBA's packet will be mailed to you on the Friday before the meeting. You or your representative should plan to be present at the meeting. Please advise us as soon as possible if the January 9, 2013 meeting date is workable for your schedule.
