RE: Conditional Use Permit in the Floodway: ZBA-12-18
Dear Mr. Renaud:
Thank you for submitting the application for a Conditional Use Permit in the Floodway for the
property at 1400 SE 16th Street. The project proposes a straightening of the channel of the Skunk
River. We find that the application and materials you submitted on July 13, 2012, are complete.
However, a signature of the property owner is missing on the"Permission to Place a`Zoning Action
Pending' Sign on Private Property." Please have the property owner sign this permission as soon as
you can. We will continue to process the application.
This item will be routed to the Development Review Committee (DRC) to discuss at the DRC staff
meeting on Wednesday,July 25,2012.Preliminary comments will be sent to you that day via email.If
necessary, a following meeting will be scheduled with you(or your representative)to discuss further
any steps or revisions that may be necessary in order for the project to comply with the Ames
Municipal Code and other applicable requirements.This meeting is tentatively setfor Friday,July 27,
2012. You will be contacted on the Wednesday prior, if you are interested in attending a Friday
meeting. At that meeting, we will discuss possible dates to place this on the agenda of the Ames
Zoning Board of Adjustment.
We are eager to present your application in front of the Zoning Board for their consideration and are
