Dear Neighborhood Resident,
You may have noticed a"Sale Pending"sign in the Miller's yard at 1910 George Allen Avenue.
My husband,Kendal,and I are looking forward to being your newest neighbors. When we move
at the end of August,I plan to move my massage business,Wellspring Wellness,into our home.
To do so,I have applied to the City of Ames Zoning Board for a Home Occupation Permit. I hope
you will consider having a massage therapist within walking distance to you an asset to the
neighborhood.
The City of Ames will soon be posting a sign in the Miller's yard as a notification for the zoning
change request I have submitted,as well as sending you a letter with more information. I hope
you will notice little or no change to the traffic flow and parking near your home.My current
client load is two to four clients per day,Monday through Friday,with an infrequent one to two
clients on Saturday. At full capacity I would schedule four clients per weekday,with the rare
occasion of seeing a fifth client with a same day urgent need. A few of my clients bike or ride the
bus. Of the ones who drive,I will invite them to park in the driveway, and request that they
refrain from parking along the street.My regular business hours begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at
6:30 p.m.,by appointment only.

and/or attend the Zoning Board of Adjustments meeting on Wednesday, July 25ffi at 7:00 p.m.,
