HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Approving Change Order No. 2 on Contract with Tri-City Electric Company of Iowa for Electrical Maintenance Services RESOLUTION NO. 21-043 RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 ON CONTRACT WITH TRI-CITY ELECTRIC COMPANY OF IOWA FOR ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA WHEREAS, it has been determined that a Change Order is necessary and proper on the above Contract. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that Change Order No. 2 in an amount not to exceed $68,000, on contract with Tri-City Electric Company of Iowa,of Davenport,Iowa,for the Electrical Maintenance Services Contract be approved and adopted as attached hereto and made a part hereof by this reference. The changes included in this change order are made in order to carry out the original intent of the contract. The changes included in this change order are to be accomplished in accordance with the terms, stipulations, and conditions of the original contract as though included herein. DESCRIPTION NTE AMOUNT This Change Order is needed to increase the amount of funds in the current fiscal year contract. The amount of electrical maintenance required to date is more than what was expected, and the current contract funds will be exhausted. This change order will be used to perform planned/unplanned/emergency electrical $68,000.00 maintenance needed during the remaining months of this current contract term. Such work includes installing new plant lighting, repairing GT1 and GT2 step up transformer oil leaks, and repairing load center breakers.
