RESOLUTION APPROVING CLOSURE OF METERED PARKING SPACES FOR
ART WALK EVENT
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS,Ames Main Street(AMS)is hosting its annual Art Walk on Thursday,June 3,
2021; and,
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate this event, Ames Main Street has requested the closure of
ten metered parking spaces in Downtown; and,
WHEREAS,the Art Walk is a popular annual event that adds vitality to the Downtown,and
the organizers have experience in hosting this and many other similar events throughout the year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the closure of ten metered parking spaces during the Art Walk event on Thursday,June 3,2021,
is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 26`'' day of January, 2021.
