RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AMENDED INTERGOVERNMENTAL/AGENCY
AGREEMENT TO FUND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES FOR THE ASSET PROCESS
FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA
WHEREAS,a 28E Agreement outlines the funding arrangement for administrative services
between the four ASSET Funders(City of Ames,Iowa State University Student Government,Story
County, and United Way of Story County); and,
WHEREAS, the Agreement was most recently revised in June 2016; and,
WHEREAS, the withdrawal of Central Iowa Community Services Mental Health Region
from the ASSET process in June 2020 prompted a review of the Agreement; and,
WHEREAS, the following revisions are proposed to take place:
I. Remove Central Iowa Community Services (CICS) as a Joint Funder
2. Update the termination language
3. Update the effective date and duration sections
4. Add new sections addressing: Governing laws, Amendments, and previous
Agreements
WHEREAS,the revised Agreement was drafted by the City Attorney's Office and reviewed
by the Story Country Attorney's Office; and,
WHEREAS,the Agreement will become effective once it is approved by all four funders and
filed with the Iowa Secretary of State.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the Amended Intergovernmental/Agency Agreement to Fund Administrative Services for the
ASSET Process is hereby approved.
