RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT RENEWAL FOR
BOILER MAINTENANCE SERVICES CONTRACT FOR THE POWER PLANT
FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA
WHEREAS, on June 11, 2019, the City Council awarded a contract to Plibrico Company
LLC,of Omaha,Nebraska for the Boiler Maintenance Services Contract for the Power Plant for the
period of July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2021; and,
WHEREAS,this contract contained the option for the City to renew in one-year increments
for up to four additional years; and,
WHEREAS, the bid from Plibrico Company LLC, will be increased by 3.3% for
Boilermakers, Millwrights, and Steamfitters labor classifications; and,
WHEREAS, this is the first renewal out of four maximum.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the contract renewal with Plibrico Company LLC, of Omaha, Nebraska for the Boiler
Maintenance Services Contract for the Power Plant from July 1,2020,through June 30,2021,in an
amount not to exceed $215,000 is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 23rd day of June, 2020.
