HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Approving Asset Joint Funders Shared Priorites RESOLUTION NO. 20-132 RESOLUTION APPROVING ASSET JOINT FUNDERS SHARED PRIORITIES FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA WHEREAS, on May 1,2019,the City Council met with other ASSET fenders to discuss the funders' expectations and vision for the ASSET partnership; and, WHEREAS, the consistent themes that emerged from the discussion include: 1. Limitations to ASSET funds 2. Integrate a needs assessment into ASSET 3. Establish shared fender priorities 4. Establish core services and supplemental services 5. Establish shared outcomes WHEREAS,ASSET staff has been working through the themes, such as having involvement with the survey and data collection for the 2020 community needs assessment,reviewing and utilizing shared outcomes from the Clear Impact Scorecard in the FY 2020/21 allocation process, and now preparing to develop a proposed set of shared fonder priorities for fonder consideration; and, WHEREAS, the first step in developing a shared set of priorities is for each fonder to assign their current priorities to the ASSET service categories of Education, Income, and Health; and, WHEREAS,this step is intended to assist with organizing where the priorities may cluster,thus creating a list of potentially shared fonder priorities for further discussion and consideration; and, WHEREAS, the ASSET service categories are education, income, and health. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa,that the assignments of the current City priorities to the ASSET service categories are hereby approved.
