RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE PLAT OF STURGES SUBDIVISION, FIRST ADDITION, STORY COUNTY, IOWA
WHEREAS,there has been submitted to the City Council of Ames, Iowa, a plat of Sturges Subdivision,
First Addition, of Story County, Iowa, said plat involving the following described real estate:
Parcel "A" a part of the Northeast Quarter(NE%) of the Southeast Quarter(SEX) of Section
Twenty-one (21),Township Eighty-four(84) North, Range Twenty-four(24) West of the 5th
P.M., Story County, Iowa, as shown on the Plat of Survey recorded on May 31, 1996, as Inst. No.
96-05211, Book 13, Page 249,
to be known as STURGES SUBDIVISION, FIRST ADDITION, STORY COUNTY, IOWA, and
WHEREAS,the Department of Planning and Housing of the City of Ames, Iowa, has recommended that
the plat be approved, and
WHEREAS,the owner, proprieter, and optionors of said real estate, Leroy C. Sturges and Sue A. Sturges,
and the optionees, Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation and B. Joan White, have executed a written
Consent and Dedication declaring that the platting is with their free consent and in accordance with
their desire as proprieters and optionees, and
WHEREAS,the City Council finds that said subdivision plat together with all of the required attachments
and submissions complies with all requirements of chapters 354 and 355 of the Code of Iowa and the
platting ordinances of the City of Ames. and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council of Ames, Iowa, that the said plat be accepted, and
WHEREAS,the City Council hereby reserves and accepts the lands designated on said plat for street
right-of-way further described as: Lot A of Sturges Subdivision, First Addition, Story County, Iowa.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Ames, Iowa,that the said plat of Sturges
Subdivision, First Addition, Story County, Iowa, be and the same is hereby approved and accepted for
and on behalf of the City of Ames, Iowa, and the lands shown on said plat which are dedicated for the
perpetual use of the public are hereby accepted by the City of Ames, Iowa, and all acts and doings by the
grantors in the premises are hereby confirmed and approved by the City Council of Ames, Iowa,this

2022- 054 is a true and accurate copy of said Resolution, that said Resolution
was duly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, at a duly convened meeting
