ACCEPTING PLAT OF RASMUSSEN GROUP SUBDIVISION, FIRST ADDITION,
BOONE COUNTY,IOWA
WHEREAS,there has been submitted to the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa, a plat
of real estate described as:
Outlot H of Gene Harris Second Subdivision,except Lot One(1)of Outlot H of Gene
Harris Second Subdivision of part of the South Half(S'/z) of the Southwest Quarter
(SWI/) of Section One (1), Township Eighty-three (83)North, Range Twenty-five
(25) West of the 5t' P.M., Boone County, Iowa, as shown on the Plat of Survey
recorded in Plat Book 30, Page 245 of the Boone County, Iowa, records
to be known as RASMUSSEN GROUP SUBDIVISION, FIRST ADDITION, BOONE
COUNTY, IOWA, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Planning and Housing of the City of Ames, Iowa, has
recommended that the plat be approved, and
WHEREAS, the owner of said real estate, The Rasmussen Group, Inc., has executed a
written Consent declaring that the platting is with its free consent and is in accordance with its
desires as proprietor, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that the plat
should be accepted and approved
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa,
that the plat of RASMUSSEN GROUP SUBDIVISION, FIRST ADDITION, BOONE
COUNTY, IOWA,be and it is hereby accepted and approved, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all of the acts of The Rasmussen Group, Inc. are
hereby confirmed and approved by the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa,on this 28 day
Of August , 2012.

I,Brian D.Torresi,hereby state that I am an Attorney at Law,duly admitted to the practice of
law in the State of Iowa, and an attorney at the Davis Brown Law Firm with offices at 2605
Northridge Parkway,Ames,Story County,Iowa. I further state that I have examined the Abstract of
Title to the following-described real estate, to-wit:
Outlot H of Gene Harris Second Subdivision,except Lot One(1)of Outlot H
of Gene Harris Second Subdivision of part of the South Half(S%Z) of the
Southwest Quarter(SW'/) of Section One (1), Township Eighty-three (83)
North,Range Twenty-five(25)West of the 5t'P.M.,Boone County,Iowa,as
shown on the Plat of Survey recorded in Plat Book 30,Page 245 of the Boone
County, Iowa, records
(the "Real Estate") from the root of the title thereof, down to and including the 27 h day of June,
2011,last certified by Abstract&Title Services of Boone County,Boone,Iowa(Iowa Title Guaranty
Division Member#8253),with an Addendum dated December 28,2011. The Real Estate has now
been subdivided and is now known as RASMUSSEN GROUP SUBDIVISION, FIRST
ADDITION, BOONE COUNTY, IOWA.
Based upon information within said Abstract of Title,it is my opinion that the fee simple title
to the Real Estate is vested in The Rasmussen Group, Inc. 'The Real Estate is free from
encumbrances excepting, however, the following:
1. The Real Estate is subject to easements of record and to zoning
ordinances of Boone County, Iowa;
2. That certain Covenant for Assessment of Costs and Improvements dated
April 3, 2003, and filed in the office of the Recorder of Boone County,
Iowa, on April 24, 2003, as Instrument No. 033010; and
3. That certain Covenant Pertaining to Water Service dated April 3, 2003,
and filed in the office of the Recorder of Boone County, Iowa, on April
24, 2003, as Instrument No. 033011.
