RESOLUTION ACCEPTING COMPLETION OF
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS REQUIRED FOR
SOUTH FORK SUBDIVISION,3"ADDITION
FOR THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS,the required street trees for South Fork Subdivision,3'Addition,have not yet
been installed; and,
WHEREAS,on December 20,2016,the Council approved an Improvement Agreement with
the developer of South Fork Subdivision and accepts financial security in the amount of$37,595 for
the final improvements still outstanding in previous South Fork Additions; and,
WHEREAS, this financial security was to cover a mid-block walkway in the 8`t' Addition,
common sidewalks in the 3rd, 41", and 81" Additions, street trees throughout the development, and
correction to the easement granted in the 4t'Addition; and,
WHEREAS,the financial security for the street trees yet to be installed as part of the South
Fork Subdivision, 3"Addition, are currently covered under Letters of Credit#404 and#429; and,
WHEREAS, it is recommended that Letter of Credit#404 be released and Letter of Credit
4429 be kept until such time as the trees are installed.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that
completion of public improvements,except for the installation of the street trees,for the South Fork
Subdivision, 3"Addition, is hereby approved, and authorization to release Letter of Credit#404 is
hereby further approved.
ADOPTED THIS 12" day of December, 2017.
