From that memo, I assume that we will be asking for approval of a Resolution by the Council on December 13 reducing the amount of the LOC pertaining to the above-named Subdivision. Is that correct? Thank you! Diane Voss, City Clerk/Records Manager P. O. If the contractor is claiming otherwise please let me know and I will dig into it further. The contractor is aware of this section of the sanitary not being passed yet. Justin A.Clausen, P.E. Have they not turned in the tapes for review? We are pretty sure that they are all installed. Thanks in advance for your help and I know have a better understanding of who we are to direct the correspondence to regarding the LOC's. I don't want to be a pest but we have worked collectively with the city to make sure that we do not pay the subs their final payment until we have gotten the OK from the city that you have accepted the work. They are calling me repeatedly looking for their money and that is why I need to know what they need to do to complete their work so that we can pay them the money they have earned On Tue,Nov 29, 2011 at 1:55 PM, Tracy Warner<twarner(a),city.ames.ia.us>wrote: Chuck Winkleblack To Tracy Warner<twarner@city.amesJa.us> <chuck@hunziker.com> cc Diane Voss<DVoss@city.ames.ia.us>, 'w 11/29/2011 02:51 PM ecowles@city.ames.ia.us,Justin Clausen <jclausen@city.ames.ia.us>,John C Joiner bcc Subject Re: letters of credit Can someone send me a list of what needs to be completed with the sanitary sewer. This has included new faces and experienced faces in new positions. Through conversations with each, I have worked to attempt a smooth transition while each person has gotten to know their responsibilities in their new job. Just to provide further clarity, Eric is primarily the DRC contact during design/final plat (therefore establishment of letters of credit). Justin Clausen (also copied on this email) is our(newer) Construction Supervisor who is responsible for the construction side of public improvements (therefore inspection/status of public improvements and reducing/renewing/releasing letters of credit). I believe that each of you have spoken/met Justin but let me know if you have not and I will arrange a meeting so that you know him. Eric and Justin are your primary contacts when it comes to letters of credit (establishing, reducing, renewing, and releasing). They have committed to work together to respond to your needs. If for some reason, you are not able to get in touch with them then you are free to contact me as well. The process will go much quicker if our communication is clear about expectations, including timing of those expectations. Hopefully my clarity above will provide an avenue for quicker responses in the future. I would gladly talk with anyone who has any concerns/questions regarding this clarified process. Thanks! They are for top lifts of asphalt, street lighting and erosion control for both Sunset Ridge 4th and Northridge Heights loth. There were some utilities in the 14th addition at Northridge Heights. We are holding final payment from the contractor to make sure that the city has approved all of that work. Can you please update me on where all of those projects are and then Diane can put it on the council agendas accordingly Thanks, Charles E.
