The property owners have completed site assessment activites including soil and groundwater sampling. The site was enrolled because arsenic in soil was perceived as a contaminant of concern. Howerer, soil sampling determined that arsenic levels are consistent with natural levels found in soil. All documents concerning the Proposed Wal-Mart Supercenter site can be viewed over the internet at http://programs.iowadnr.com/contaminatedsites/pages/search.aspx. Enter"Wal-Mart" into the `Site Name' space,click on `View Results',then click on the"Proposed Wal-Mart Supercenter' name to open the database file. Place the mouse on `Site' and then click on `Action/Documents.' Click on `pdf for the file you wish to review.
