HomeMy WebLinkAboutA001 - Council Action Form dated September 26, 2006 ITEM # �"I �• DATE 09/26/06 COUNCIL ACTION FORM SUBJECT: FINAL PLAT FOR GENESIS SUBDIVISION BACKGROUND: The applicant is requesting approval of the Final Plat for Genesis Subdivision. The proposed subdivision consists of approximately 26,082 square feet (0.60 acres) and is generally located on the northeast corner of the intersection of South Duff Avenue and Garden Road at 107, 113, and 117 Garden Road. The proposed Final Plat involves the creation of three lots for the construction of single-family detached homes. The size of the proposed lots is described as follows: • Lot 1: 9,278 square feet • Lot 2: 8,402 square feet • Lot 3: 8,402 square feet Land in the proposed subdivision is zoned as: "RL" (Residential Low-Density). The applicant has requested that the City Council waive the requirement for the installation of sidewalk for this proposed subdivision. A separate Council Action Form has been prepared for the City Council to consider the waiver request. ALTERNATIVES: 1. The City Council can approve the Final Plat for Genesis Subdivision. 2. The City Council can deny approval of the Final Plat for Genesis Subdivision. 3. The City Council can refer this item back to staff and the developer for additional information. MANAGER'S RECOMMENDED ACTION: It is the recommendation of the City Manager that the City Council approve Alternative#1. This will approve the Final Plat for Genesis Subdivision. All subdivision requirements have been fulfilled.
