RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE AWARD OF CONTRACT
FOR THE PURCHASE OF A SELF-CONTAINED ROTARY
SNOW BLOWER,WHEEL LOADER MOUNT
FOR THE STREET MAINTENANCE DIVISION OF
THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, CITY OF AMES,IOWA
WHEREAS, bids and proposals were received on the 4t1i day of October, 2019, for the
purchase of a Self-Contained Rotary Snow Blower,Wheel Loader Mount,for the Street Maintenance
Division of the Public Works Department,City of Ames,Iowa. Said bids have now been carefully
analyzed.
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa,as follows:
Section 1: Award of contract is made as follows:
Fair Mfg., Inc., of Yankton, South Dakota for one Snocrete 842D Snow Blower at
a cost of$85,421 with a $4,000 trade-in offer for the City's 1985 snow blower, for
a total amount of$81,421.
Section 2: The City Manager and City Clerk are authorized to execute said contract for and
on behalf of the City of Ames, Iowa, and to affix the corporate seal of the City thereto.
Section 3: All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed
to the extent of such conflict.
ADOPTED THIS 22nd day of October, 2019.
