HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Quit Claim Deed conveying 180' x 16 ' of Alley Right-of-Way north of Lincoln Way and east of Elm Avenue to Forest Park Properties LLC DO NOT WRITE IN THE SPACE ABOVE THIS LINE,RESERVED FOR RECORDER Prepared by:City Clerk's Office,515 Clark Avenue,Ames,IA 50010 Return to:Ames City Clerk,P.O.Box 811,Ames,IA 50010 Phone:515-239-5105 RESOLUTION NO. 19-519 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE, BY QUIT CLAIM DEED TO FOREST PARK PROPERTIES, LLC, OF SUCH RIGHT, TITLE,AND INTEREST AS THE PARTIES SHALL HAVE IN CERTAIN LAND CONSTITUTING RIGHT-OF-WAY AT NORTH OF LINCOLN WAY AND EAST OF ELM AVENUE IN THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council for the City of Ames, Iowa: That it is hereby approved that the right,title, and interest of the City of Ames,Iowa,in certain land locally known as north of Lincoln Way and east of Elm Avenue,said land being more specifically described as: All that vacated alley lying between the south lines of Lots 2,3,and 4 and the north lines of Lots 5, 6, and 7, all in Block 2, College Park Addition to Ames, Story County, Iowa. (Area is 180'x 16'or 2,880 square feet more or less) shall be conveyed to Forest Park Properties, LLC, in consideration of payment to the City of Ames in the sum of$1.00 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, THAT: 1. Pursuant to Iowa Code Section 364.7,notice regarding the proposed sale of real property, which included the date set for the public hearing, was published on August 16, 2019. 2. The public hearing regarding the disposition of the property was held on September 24, 2019,pursuant to said notice, and the City Council approved said conveyance. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a Quit Claim Deed with respect to the above described land for and on behalf of the City of Ames,Iowa, and the City Clerk shall attest there.
