Home My WebLink About~Master - Second Extension to Memorandum of Understanding with Mary Greeley Medical Center for the interface between the City of Ames Computer-Aided Dispatch System and Mary Greeley Medical Center's Mobile Intensive Care Services RESOLUTION NO. 19-472 RESOLUTION APPROVING SECOND EXTENSION TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF AMES AND MARY GREELEY MEDICAL CENTER FOR THE INTERFACE BETWEEN THE CITY OF AMES COMPUTER-AIDED DISPATCH SYSTEM AND MARY GREELEY MEDICAL CENTER'S MOBILE INTENSIVE CARE SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA WHEREAS, in response to Mary Greeley Medical Center's request, the City Council extended its Agreement with the hospital related to the interface between the City of Ames Computer-Aided Dispatch System and Mary Greeley Medical Center's Mobil Intensive Care Services; and, WHEREAS, the Memorandum of Understanding was extended through September 1, 2019, to allow the parties time to negotiate new provisions for this Agreement; and, WHEREAS, City staff has responded by presenting Mary Greeley administrators with a new proposal for their consideration; and, WHEREAS, in order to allow time for the parties to evaluate this new proposal, Mary Greeley's President is requesting the City Council further extend the Agreement through December 1, 2019; and, WHEREAS, City staff is hopeful that a new Agreement can be reached, and therefore, would support the request for Mary Greeley Medical Center to extend this Agreement for a second time through December 1, 2019. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, that extension of the above-referenced Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Ames and Mary Greeley Medical Center through December 1, 2019, is hereby approved.
