THE UNDERSIGNED,_ Phil Coy and Sons, a partnership composed of
Jack Coy and Richard Coy; Jack. Coy and Elizabeth .E. Coy, Husband and
Wife; Richard Coy and Gretchen Coy, Husband,and-Fife; and-Richard K.
Bliss.and Patricia L. Bliss,. Husband and Fife;"in consideration-of the sum
of One Dollar and other considerations, receipt of which is hereby acknow-
ledged, do grant to the City of Ames, Iowa, a municipal corporation, its ,
successors and assigns,_ the perpetual right to construct, .reconstruct,
maintain and use electric lines: 'consisting of poles, wires, cables,- con-
duits, fixtures, anchors and,other similar equipment, including the -right
to trim or remove trees within such area where necessary to secure- .a
clearance of 4 feet-.from the wires or poles, together with the right to ex-
tend to telephpi e9 telegraph, electric or power companies, or a company,
the right to use separately or jointly with the City of Ames the in-
cluded in this easement for the purposes-above enumerated,'. over, upon,
across or under the .following described real estate, situated in the county
of Story, .State of Iowa, to-wit
A 7. 5 foot strip parallel to and adjacent to the Southwesterly
- _ boundary _line of.Dots.11, _12, 13, .14, 15,- 16, 17., 16 and 19;
A 5 foot ship parallel to and adjacent to the.Southeasterly
boundary line of Lots 1, -9, 14, 17 and 19;
A. 6 foot strip -parallel to and adjacent to the Northwesterly
boundary line of Lots 4, 11, -15 and 1:6;-
A 5 foot strip parallel to and adjacent.to the Northeasterly
boundary line of Lots 1, '2, 30 4, 5, 6, -7, 3, 9, and 10;
A strip 5 feet in width located in Lot 10 and extending from -
the Northeast boundary line of said Lot 10_Southwesterly 25
feet along the common boundary of Lots 9 and 10.
All of-said lots being in All&nview Fourth-Add tion to .Ames, Iowa.
The foregoing rights are granted upon the express condition that the
City of Ames will assume responsibility for-all damage to the above des-
cribed property caused.by ;the city's failure to use due care in-the exercise
of its granted right.
