Home My WebLink About~Master - Contract and Bond for Construction of Power Plant Steam Turbine No. 7 Parts Procurement RESOLUTION NO. 19-262 RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT AND BOND FOR CONSTRUCTION OF POWER PLANT STEAM TURBINE NO. 7 PARTS PROCUREMENT FOR THE CITY OF AMES,IOWA WHEREAS,this City Council has heretofore determined it advisable and necessary that certain improvements be constructed in the City of Ames, Iowa, such project having been designated as the Power Plant Steam Turbine No. 7 Parts Procurement; and, pursuant to notice and hearing, bids were received on the 16'day of April,2019,as called for in the detailed plans and specifications as prepared by the Electric Services Department and filed with the City Clerk on the 22nd day of March,2019; and, WHEREAS, this Council has heretofore determined that the bid of Argo Turboserve Corporation of Rutherford,New Jersey in the amount of$265,694 is the lowest and best bid submitted for the construction of said project; and, WHEREAS, the Contract in the form provided in said plans and specifications has been executed by said contractor, and satisfactory performance bond has been filed by said contractor. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: Section 1. The Contract between the City of Ames, Iowa, and Argo Turboserve Corp. of Rutherford, New Jersey, in the amount of$265,694 dated the 28t1i day of May, 2019, for the Power Plant Steam Turbine No. 7 Parts Procurement as provided for in the detailed plans and specifications referred to in the preamble hereof, and the performance bond of the said contractor with United States Fire Insurance Company of Morristown, New Jersey, as surety thereon, in the amount of$265,694 filed in connection therewith, be and the same are hereby approved. Section 2. All resolutions or order or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extend of such conflict. ADOPTED THIS 28" day of May, 2019. c'v4mAti� Diane R.
