Dear Mayor and City Council:
I respectfully request a waiver from the Major Subdivision requirements for the proposed
subdivision of my property at 2042 South 500t'Avenue. This property is within the two-
mile jurisdictional limit of the City of Ames. The subdivision will consist of two lots.
See attached plat.
Both lots border an existing road. Xenia Rural Water and/or private wells will serve the
lots. On the recommendation of the county engineer, both lots will likely be served by a
common septic system(thus replacing the existing, old septic system serving the existing
house).
