RESOLUTION APPROVING WAIVER OF FEES
FOR ARTWALK EVENT
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS, Ames Main Street (AMS) is hosting its annual ArtWalk on Friday, June 7,
2019; and,
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate this event,Ames Main Street has requested the following
from 3:00 p.m.to 8:30 p.m.: waiver of parking meter fees and enforcement in the Central Business
District;waiver of the fee for a Blanket Vending License;and,use of electricity in Tom Evans Plaza
and waiver of electrical fees; and,
WHEREAS,the ArtWalk is a popular annual event that adds vitality to the Downtown,and
the organizers have experience in hosting this and many other similar events throughout the year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the aforementioned fee waivers and waiver of parking enforcement during the ArtWalk event
on Friday, June 7, 2019, are hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 12t' day of February, 2019.
