ATTORNEY'S OPINION
I, LARRY R. CURTIS, hereby state that I am an attorney at law,duly admitted to the
practice of law in the State of Iowa, and a member of the firm of Pasley and Singer Law
Firm, L. L. P., with offices at 323 Sixth Street, Ames, Story County, Iowa. I further state
that I have examined the abstract of title to the following described real estate:
Parcel "F" in the North Half of Section Eight (8), Township 83 North, Range
24 West of the 51h P.M., in the City of Ames, Story County, Iowa; as shown
on the "Plat of Survey" filed in the office of the Recorder of Story County,
Iowa, on May 17, 2000, and recorded as Instrument#00-05171 on Slide 67
at Page 4 AND Parcel "G"in the Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter
of Section Eight (8), Township 83 North, Range 24 West of the 5th P.M.,
Story County, Iowa, as shown on the "Plat of Survey"filed in the office of the
Recorder of Story County, Iowa, on May 17, 2000, and recorded as
Instrument#00-05171 on Slide 67 at Page 4;
from the date of the Root of Title thereof, down to and including the 25th day of January,
2002, as last certified by Batman-Sayers Abstract Company, Nevada, Iowa.
Based upon the information within said abstract of title, it is my opinion that the fee
simple title to the property described above is in TERRA FIRMA, L. P., an Iowa Limited
Partnership, and said real estate is free from encumbrances except for the following:
Mortgage to FARM CREDIT SERVICES OF AMERICA,dated May 30,2000,
records of Story County, Iowa, as Instrument No. 00-05849.

The property is subject to easements and restrictions of record and the general
zoning ordinances of the City of Ames, Iowa.
