HomeMy WebLinkAboutA002 - Council Action Form dated January 8, 2002 ITEM # / 7 DATE 01/08/02 COUNCIL ACTION FORM SUBJECT: RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FINAL PLAT, FOR SOMERSET SUBDIVISION, ELEVENTH ADDITION. BACKGROUND: The property owners are requesting that the Final Plat for Somerset Subdivision, Eleventh Addition be approved. The property in question includes lots on the south side of Northridge Parkway, east of Stange Road, near the center of the Somerset Subdivision. The proposed Final Plat represents a replat of Outlot "D" in Block 2 of the Somerset Subdivision, Fifth Addition and involves the creation of two (2) platted lots and three (3) outlots. Lots 1 and 2 are designated for commercial development. Outlots "J" and X", will be further subdivided for commercial development in the future. Outlot"WW"will be utilized for a common parking lot. The entire area of Somerset Subdivision, Eleventh Addition includes 4.09 acres. The property is zoned Village Residential (F-VR). All lots meet the requirements of the Zoning Ordinance. The developers have installed all of the required public improvements with previous plats. There are no remaining public improvements to be completed. As a result of this review, staff has determined that the Final Plat for Somerset Subdivision, Eleventh Addition should be approved. ALTERNATIVES: 1. The City Council can approve the Final Plat for Somerset Subdivision, Eleventh Addition. 2. The City Council can approve the Final Plat for Somerset Subdivision, Eleventh Addition with modifications. 3. The City Council can deny approval of the Final Plat for Somerset Subdivision, Eleventh Addition. MANAGER'S RECOMMENDED ACTION: It is the recommendation of the City Manager that the City Council approve Alternative #1. This will approve the Final Plat for the Somerset Subdivision, Eleventh. Addition. All subdivision requirements have been fulfilled.
