RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE AWARD OF CONTRACT
FOR PURCHASE OF LIQUID SODIUM HYPOCHLORITE
FOR WATER TREATMENT PLANT AND POWER PLANT,
CITY OF AMES, IOWA
WHEREAS,bids and proposals were received on the 21"day of April,2018,for the purchase
of Liquid Sodium Hypochlorite for the Water Treatment Plant for the Water and Pollution Control
Department and the Power Plant,City of Ames,Iowa. Said bids have now been carefully analyzed.
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames,Iowa,as follows:
Section 1: Award of contract is made as follows:
To DPC Industries, Inc., of Bellevue,Nebraska,in the amount of$.94/gallon for an
estimated total cost of$108,100.
Section 2: The City Manager and City Clerk are authorized to execute said contract for and
on behalf of the City of Ames, Iowa, and to affix the corporate seal of the City thereto.
Section 3: All resolutions or orders or parts thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed
to the extent of such conflict.
ADOPTED THIS 22nd day of May, 2018.
