The perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, operate and maintain electric lines, consisting of poles, wires, cables, conduits, fixtures, anchors and other similar equipment including the right to trim or remove trees within such area where necessary to secure clearance of four feet from the wires or poles . 2 . The perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, alter, operate and maintain water lines and appurtenances thereto, sanitary sewers and appurtenances thereto, and storm sewers and appurtenances thereto. 3 . The perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, alter, operate and maintain telephone wires, poles, cable risers and appurtenances thereto. 4 . The perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, alter, operate and maintain gas lines and appurtenances thereto, together with the right to extend a telegraph, telephone, electric, or any company the right to use separately or jointly with the City of Ames, the areas included in this easement for the purposes above enumerated, over, upon, across or under the following-described real estate situated in the County of Story, State of Iowa, to-wit : The north 5 feet of Lots 1, 2 and 3 ; the east 10 feet of Lots 1 and 2 ; the south 5 feet of Lots 2 and 3 , all in Big Bluestem Subdivision to Ames, Iowa, and as shown on the plat as said addition. The foregoing rights are granted upon the express condition that the City of Ames will assume responsibility for all damage to the above-described property caused by the City' s failure to use due care in the exercise of its granted right .
