RESOLUTION NO. 'TJ-LI )�
BEING A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE PLAT OF BIG BLUESTEM
SUBDIVISION, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA.
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council of the
City of Ames, Iowa, a plat of Big Bluestem Subdivision, being an
addition to the City of Ames, Story County, Iowa, and involving
the land hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, the said plat has been submitted to the City
Planning and Zoning Commission as required by law and has been
returned to this Council with the recommendations of the City
Planning and Zoning Commission; and
WHEREAS, Iowa State University Research Foundation Inc. , an
Iowa corporation, is the sole owner of all the land hereinafter
described to be known as Big Bluestem Subdivision of Ames, Iowa;
and
WHEREAS, it now appears that said owner of said property has
met all conditions as prescribed by Chapter 409A of the 1991 Code
of Iowa as amended to date and as prescribed by the platting
ordinance of the City of Ames as amended to date with respect to
the platting of said addition; and
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the City Council of the City of
Ames, Iowa, it is advisable and to the best interest of the City
of Ames and of all persons concerned that the said plat be
accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA
RESOLVES that the plat of Big Bluestem Subdivision, being an
addition to the City of Ames, Story County, Iowa, and involving
the real estate described as follows to-wit:
A replat of Lot 24 and parcel "B" in Lot 25 (as
surveyed and recorded in C&FN Book 10, Page 73 , Story
County Recorder' s office) , all being more particularly
described as follows : Beginning at the Northwest
corner of said Lot 24; thence Southeasterly, 509 .30
feet along the westerly line of said Lots 24 and 25,
along a curve having a radius of 824 . 87 feet, concave
southwesterly through a central angle of 3502213511 , to
the southwest corner of said Parcel "B" ; thence
N5500710711E, 206 . 72 feet along the south line of said
Parcel "B" to the southeast corner thereof; thence
N2200710811W, 238 . 02 feet along the easterly line of
said Parcel "B" ; thence Northwesterly, 102 .26 feet
along a curve having a radius of 77 . 00 feet, concave
southeasterly through a central angle of 76005, 15" to
the southwest corner of Lot 23 in The Gateway Hills;
thence N3505911511W, 188 . 89 feet to the northwest corner
of said Lot 23 ; thence southwesterly, 221.25 feet along
a curve having a radius of 256 . 17 feet, concave
southeasterly through a central angle of 49029115" ;
thence S4001015311W, 72 . 01 feet to the point of
beginning, containing 2 . 71 acres, all in The Gateway
Hills, an official plat forming a part of the City of
Ames, Story County, Iowa.
be and it is hereby accepted and approved; that all acts and
deeds of said owners of the premises be and they are hereby
confirmed and approved, and that the mayor and clerk of the City
of Ames, Iowa, be and they are hereby directed to certify the
resolution affixed to the said plat
