RESOLUTION APPROVING STREET CLOSURE FOR EARLY TIMES CHAPTER
FOR FLATHEAD REUNION PONTIAC CAR SHOW
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS, the Early Times Chapter (ETC) of the Pontiac Oakland Club International
(P.O.C.I.) has proposed hosting its annual Flathead Reunion Car Show in the 400 Block of Douglas
Avenue from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018; and,
WHEREAS, this annual event has been held in various cities across the U.S. over the past
12 years;the event will showcase 40 1926— 1954 Pontiac cars; and,
WHEREAS, to facilitate this event, organizers are requesting the closure of the 400 block
of Douglas Avenue from 7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, September 8; and,
WHEREAS, the Main Street Cultural District has provided a letter of support for the event.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that closure of the 400 block of Douglas Avenue on Saturday, September 8, 2018, for the Early
Times Chapter of the Pontiac Oakland Club International Flathead Reunion Car Show is hereby
approved.
ADOPTED THIS 10" day of April, 2018.
