RESOLUTION APPROVING CLOSURE OF METERED PARKING SPACES FOR
ARTWALK EVENT
FOR THE CITY OF AMES
WHEREAS, the Main Street Cultural District (MSCD) is hosting its annual ArtWalk on
Friday, June 1, 2018; and,
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate this event, the MSCD has requested the closure of two
metered parking spaces in the District; and,
WHEREAS, the ArtWalk is a popular annual event that adds vitality to the Downtown, and
the organizers have experience in hosting this and many other similar events throughout the year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
that the closure of two metered parking spaces during the ArtWalk event on Friday, June 1, 2018,
is hereby approved.
ADOPTED THIS 23' day of January, 2018.
