HomeMy WebLinkAboutA001 - Council Action Form dated October 24, 2000 ITEM# DATE: 10/24/00 COUNCIL ACTION FORM SUBJECT: RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FINAL PLAT FOR COUNTRY MEADOWS FIRST ADDITION. ACTION FORM SUMMARY: The applicant, Onyx Development, L.C., is requesting that the City Council approve the Final Plat for Country Meadows First Addition. Staff is recommending that the Final Plat be approved. BACKGROUND: The applicant, Onyx Development, L.C., is requesting that the City Council approve the Final Plat for Country Meadows First Addition. The proposed Final Plat involves the creation of two numbered lots and one unbuildable outlot. The lots in question are a re-plat of Lot 10 of Country Gables Seventh Addition. All of the proposed lots front on Onyx Street and all required infrastructure has already been, installed, with the exception of sidewalks. The proposed buildable lots are each .18 acres in size, and the unbuildable outlot is 2.66 acres. All of the proposed lots are zoned RL (Low Density Residential) and meets the area requirements for the zoning district. ANALYSIS: The Final Plat for Country Meadows First Addition has been reviewed by staff and it has been determined that it complies with the requirements of the subdivision regulations. No additional subdivision improvements are required as part of this subdivision, with the exception of the installation of f sidewalk improvements. The installation of the sidewalk improvements is secured by a Sidewalk Agreement that has been signed by the applicants. Based on this review, staff has determined that the proposed Final Plat for Country Meadows First Addition is in compliance with the requirements of the City and should be approved. (A copy of the Final Plat is attached.) ALTERNATIVES: 1. The City Council can approve the Final Plat for Country Meadows First Addition. 2. The City Council can deny approval of the Final Plat for Country Meadows First Addition. 3. The City Council can approve the Final Plat for Country Meadows First Addition with modifications. MANAGER'S RECOMMENDED ACTION: It is the recommendation of the City Manager that the City Council approve Alternative#1. This will approve the Final Plat for Country Meadows First Addition: This approval will result in the Final Plat being recorded in the Story County Recorder's office and allow for development on the numbered lots that are created as a result of this subdivision.
